After the whimsical 2007 EP "Meet Me at the Playground" and the tango-influenced 2008 CD "Love or Die" the September 2010 release of "La Valentina" presented The Just Desserts' most ambitious recording project to date - featuring Cross-continental collaborations between 16 musicians in Quito, Ecuador and Austin, Texas are followed by brass-heavy Balkan tunes learned from traditional musicians from Moldova, experimental revisions of well-known North-American songs, and a cover of a little-known George Harrison Indian composition. Like their performances, "La Valentina" is a trip around the world.
